  19. My "regular" ISP (which I think I will drop, real soon) hasn't
  20. forwarded mail outside its own box for almost a week. So I post
  21. it here...if a duplicate shows up later, sorry.
  22.
  23. Version C-Kermit 6.0.192, for Solaris 2.5.1 x86 - pretty slick!
  24. Considering that making PPP work on this thing is a nightmare,
  25. Kermit has definitely become a life saver!
  26.
  27. However, a modem speed problem. I have a Hayes accura 288B, which
  28. I assume translates to "hayes-high-speed" and then set the speed
  29. to 115200, since the default is 9600. Everything on my side looks
  30. good. But when I connect and attempt to download a file, the
  31. connection speed is 9600! Is this a problem on the other side
  32. (which is only running 5.0) or something I can change? Makes
  33. downloading 3 MB files rather time consuming, even when I change
  34. the packet length to 1024 instead of the default 90.
  35.
  36. thanks
  37.
